RCIA RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a program of induction into the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. But more than that, RCIA is a faith journey designed to meet our fundamental spiritual needs as God’s children and to help us identity with and become a part of the faith community of Catholic believers. The ultimate RCIA goal, to bring missionary discipleship to the world, carries out Vatican II’s vision of what the Church is today: the manifestation of Jesus Christ’s presence and grace at work in the world.
