At St. Mary’s Angelus – Books & Gifts, we are excited to support and showcase the incredible talents of local artisans through our Artisan of the Month program. Each month, we will feature one to two artisans, providing them with a dedicated space in our store to share their handcrafted goods with the community.
We welcome a diverse range of artistic expressions, including (but not limited to) soaps, candles, paintings, sewing, and more. This opportunity is open to all ages!
Submit Your Application (form below) – Artisans must complete an application that includes:
Photos of their work
A brief description of their craft, inspiration, and (if applicable) its connection to their faith
Selection Process – Submissions will be carefully reviewed, and selected artisans will be contacted with further details. Due to limited space, not all applicants will be chosen, but we encourage you to reapply in the future!
Junior Artisans Welcome! – Young artists under 17 may apply under our Junior Artisan category.
Voting for Featured Artisans – Selected submissions will be displayed in December, and the community will vote to determine which artisans will be featured in the store throughout the upcoming year.
Monthly Feature – Selected artisans will have their work displayed in a dedicated area of the store for one month.
Participation Fee – A small fee helps support this initiative:
$50 per month for adult artisans
$25 per month for junior artisans
Fees are due upon selection confirmation.
Product Setup & Sales – Artisans are responsible for setting up their displays in coordination with store staff.
The store will handle all sales transactions.
Artisans will receive 100% of their sales revenue. (Please note: Any credit card processing fees will be deducted from your commission check when items are purchased using a credit card.)
Promotion – Featured artisans will be promoted in our store, magazine, and social media.
Artisans are encouraged to promote their features and let customers know their work is available for purchase.
All items must be handmade and suitable for a church-affiliated gift shop.
No mass-produced or resale items are allowed.
Artisans must ensure their display remains well-stocked throughout the month.
Liability Notice: St. Mary’s Angelus – Books & Gifts is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
End-of-Month Pickup: Any unsold inventory must be picked up at the end of the month unless other arrangements are made.
We look forward to showcasing the beauty and creativity of our local artisans!
